Friday Dec 21st

Today we watched Act One two ways- Zeferelli and Luhrman.  Novel projects were handed in...if you did not submit a project (four students come to mind) you'll need to email me and let me know what your plan is as I am going to mark them over the break.

Homework-  Read a fantastic novel over the break, sleep in, eat too much food, relax, spend time with friends and family...

Merry Christmas to you and your family over the holidays!  Enjoy your two weeks off, I'll see you next year!

Best,

Ms. R

Tuesday Dec 11th

Today we spent time on Act One Scene One, a scene full of comedy, dirty jokes, and violence.  We read, listened, and considered how and why Shakespeare set the scene up in this particular way. We met key characters and learned about oxymorons and puns.  A busy busy scene.

Next day we meet Lord Capulet, and Paris...make sure you bring your independent novel project materials as you will be given 1/2 the class to work on your project.
