Mon Nov 14th

Visual Response Novel check in on WED - make sure you have all work completed for #2 and #3.

Work period in computer lab on Tuesday Nov 22nd - ensure that you have all work, have an idea what format you plan to use, your novel, a USB stick...if you do not come prepared alternate work will be provided.

11s- today we considered moral dilemmas and simulated a hypothetical situation where students had to choose who would live and who would die.  We talked about rule based thinking and shared examples of ways that people justify their choices when faced with moral decisions.  We will read "Gentlemen Your Verdict" next day.

10s-  Shakespeare Quiz on Friday Nov 18th...based on biographical information and what we have talked about with R + J so far.
Today we delved into Act 1 Scene 1 and enjoyed puns, dirty jokes, insults, and fights...a great way to start the play (Shakespeare knew what he was doing).

****BONUS MARKS AVAILABLE****  (5 marks up for grabs)   Available to grade 10 students who attend Cambie Theatre's production  Juliet this Thursday and/or Friday night.  Simply attach your ticket stub to a piece of writing that covers PMI - (Plus, Minus, Interesting) as your response to the play.  A few sentences explaining what you thought was good, not so good, and what you found interesting.  Need to boost your mark?  (they have been posted)  Support fellow students and get a few extra marks...remember Shakespeare didn't write novels, he wrote plays.  He wanted you to enjoy yourself at a play.
