10s- Today we discussed the different facets of literacy and how literacy skills are more than simply reading books. Students were challenged to draw a map of Canada from scratch which your SS teachers will be happy to hear went pretty well! Homework: print out the lyrics to a song that you like and that you think is a good example of poetry (make sure that it's English 10 classroom friendly), and mark any poetic devices and techniques you notice.
