Please note that Ms. Johnson's last day at Cambie is this Friday - so there can be no extensions on the poetry project.  All projects and old work must be completed this week.

10s -  Today was busy...

Journal Entry #8 - Considering different points of view leads to greater understanding.

Journal entries 5-8 are due on Monday May 14th.  Please look at your journal rubric and pprevious work to make sure you get as many marks as you can.  Make sure you go over all old journal entires to make them as 'juicy' as possible.

#5//Feb 15th - True love is worth dying for
#6/Feb 22nd- Imagine what it would be like if everyone was exactly the same and completely equal.  Make five predictions about a completely equal society.
#7/April 2nd - How is your education going so far?

I will randomly select two to mark...you must hand in all four for full marks.

Students need to begin to get ready for their Provincials as there are only 5 weeks of class left!

Poetry - we looked through a few poems today - key question - what effect do poetic devices hae?

Song Analysis - students were asked to bring in song lyrics and mark up the text.  Today students continued to look at their lyrics.  Students were to submit a paragraph response about their song.

*Why is your song a good example of poetry?
*What is the overall theme/message? (must include textual proof)
