Today we read our suspense paragraphs to each other and tried to give a few helpful ideas...make sure you don't title your paragraph - suspense paragraph! Good copy + rough copy due Fri Feb 24
In preparation for our next story, "Harrison Bergeron" we looked at our ideas surrounding equality and whether people are truly equal. Journal Entry # 6 asks students to make five predictions about what our society would be like if we were are the same and completely equal.
A few new words to search for before we read the story next day...
Homework: good copy suspense paragraph, pre-read "Harrison Bergeron"
Upcoming: Letter Essays (this will be your Term 2 Independent Novel Project), SMART reading "Ashes for the Wind", and a short story "sight" test next Thursday
Next unit - Animal Farm (we'll start the week before Spring Break)
